ROSHN Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading multi-asset developer and a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, is celebrating Saudi National Day 95 by expanding its large-scale greening and sustainability initiatives, including tree-planting projects across the Kingdom, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to sustainability and its support for the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Under ROSHN Green Initiative, the Group has introduced numerous community-driven programs in partnership with leading organizations and with the participation of over 100 volunteers from the YUHYEEK program, made up of employees and community members. These activities have included tree-planting campaigns and the dispersal of 600,000 seeds, with 100,000 distributed by drones and 500,000 spread manually by volunteers, expanding green cover and combating desertification. ROSHN Green Initiative Center (RGIC) in the SEDRA community has also hosted more than 30 workshops to raise awareness about afforestation and environmental stewardship. Meanwhile, the Group has launched additional tree-planting initiatives at ROSHN Front in Riyadh and ROSHN Waterfront in Jeddah, along with National Day celebrations across its destinations.
Since 2023, ROSHN Group has marked National Day with flagship initiatives that advance sustainability, community engagement, and ecological regeneration. On its first edition for the 93rd Saudi National Day, ROSHN Group delivered 93 green initiatives around the kingdom, distributed more than 32,000 seedlings, planted over 29,300 trees, engaged 3,000 volunteers, and partnered with 75 schools to promote environmental stewardship.
In 2024, ROSHN Group elevated these efforts for the 94th Saudi National Day with the launch of the ROSHN Green Initiative Center (RGIC) in SEDRA, Riyadh, an education hub and nursery powered by partnerships and innovation with the capacity to produce more than 2,000 trees annually. In the same year, ROSHN Group reinforced its commitment by planting 55,000 mangrove and wild trees and introducing Recycling Vending Machines across its destinations to encourage sustainable practices in daily life.
Beyond planting, ROSHN Group continues broader YUHYEEK programs that enhance daily life and contribute sustainably to the reduction of waste. Since 2023, the Food Saving Initiative with Khairat Association has redistributed more than 1.1 million meals, while the
Device Recycling Initiative with Ertiqa provided 1,300 refurbished devices to students, with a further 1,000 planned this year. In parallel, ROSHN has launched a range of recycling initiatives, including the installation of recycling machines across its destinations.
On the 95th Saudi National Day, ROSHN Group takes pride in the continued success of its Green Initiative, now in its third year, embodying the values of authenticity, generosity, hospitality, and solidarity. These initiatives have become a vibrant platform where community members and ambassadors from the “YUHYEEK” program come together to create a lasting environmental impact. As we celebrate the 95th Saudi National Day, ROSHN Group reaffirms its commitment to building enduring impact, reflecting the Kingdom’s continuous growth and leaving a sustainable legacy for generations to come.
