ROSHN Group, the Sustainability Partner at “Cop16”

ROSHN Group, the Kingdom’s leading multi-asset class real estate developer, a PIF company, and the sustainability partner at the Conference of the Parties “COP16” to Combat Desertification, will highlight how development can benefit both biodiversity and the environment at the conference. At the Group’s pavilion, visitors will explore ROSHN’s initiatives aimed at promoting regeneration and hear ROSHN speakers discuss how environmental restoration is focal to driving quality of life improvements. ROSHN will outline its contributions to the Saudi Green Initiative and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

COP16, taking place in Riyadh from 2nd to 13th December, brings together leaders from governments, the private sector, civil society, and global stakeholders to accelerate sustainable land management. A central theme this year is how the private sector can drive economies and societies toward a low-carbon future while advancing environmental regeneration.

As a participant in the Green Zone, ROSHN will demonstrate its commitment to integrating sustainability as a core principle across its developments. In terms of land regeneration, the Group aims to plant 14 million trees and shrubs across its communities by 2030, focusing on native species selected for their climate adaptability. Many of these will be cultivated at the ROSHN Green Initiative Center in “SEDRA”, the Group’s flagship community in north Riyadh.

At ROSHN’s pavilion, visitors will discover the Group’s visionary approach to crafting communities where nature and well-being are seamlessly intertwined. Central to this vision is the concept of “living streets”, which feature shaded, tree-lined walkways and green spaces that encourage outdoor activity. ROSHN developments are designed for tomorrow, incorporating cycling paths, walking trails, and public EV charging stations to promote sustainable and carbon-free mobility for residents and visitors alike.
